Absentee Policy

For students in all grades:

The spiritual formation of a child is a partnership between home and parish.  Although we recognize the ever growing activities available to our families, we ask that children do not miss more than three classes a year. Continued absences create a change in the dynamic of the classroom and cause a disruption in the learning of the child not easily rectified.

If you know your child will be absent for any reason, please contact the office so a record can be made of the absence.  Absence due to a school related event or illness will be marked as excused and may require a note.

In the case of any absense, please refer to the grade level syllabus and review any material missed before the next session.

More than three unexcused absenses or a failure to comprehend class material due to continued absence may result in a child not being promoted to the subsequent grade level next year.
